NO NEED FOR ANXIETY!

*THERE’S A CROWN WAITING*

*Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown (Revelation 3:11).*

_What a strong admonition from the Lord! He counselled the church in Philadelphia to hold fast to what they had.

These weren’t earthly things but spiritual things. He told them to hold fast to them because of the possibility of losing them.

The way to hold fast to what God has given to you is to put it to work; keep using it._

Imagine a Christian who was always winning souls and bringing them to church.

But one day, something offended him and he stopped winning souls.

If only he knew that there was a crown of righteousness waiting for him; but now, someone else was going to get it.

*If it weren’t possible for someone else to get it, God wouldn’t have said so.

Read our opening verse again: “…hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.”

Seeing someone else do what God told you to do is one of life’s deepest pains.

Think about Saul for example; when God called Saul to be king of Israel, He promised him an eternal dynasty.

Saul however lost it, and David got it (1 Samuel 13:13-14).*

_Whatever assignment is given to you to carry out in the house of God, hallow it. Do it joyfully and do it as unto Christ.

Handle it with great care, because at the end of the day, the Bible says we’ll all give account to God for all that we did.

Also, there’s a crown waiting and it’s a crown of righteousness for all who obeyed Him and fulfilled their assignment._

            *PRAYER*

Dear Father, I recognize the spiritual treasures you have entrusted to me and I hold fast to them diligently.
I thank you for the grace you’ve given me to complete every assignment.
I refuse to be swayed by offence or distractions, but I remain resolute, steadfast, always abounding in the work of the Lord, committed to fulfilling your purpose for my life, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

NO NEED FOR ANXIETY
(Worry Makes Things Worse)

TO THE BIBLE: Philippians 4:6-7 TLB “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers.
If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.”

LET’S TALK⏩
“Zack, why aren’t concerned? You’ve just been given a poor prognosis, yet you’re smiling! Shouldn’t you be anxious right now?” Felicia inquired.

“Nope, I choose not to worry because it won’t solve anything. I’m a child of the King, and I know how to handle the situation,” Zack calmly responded.

And after speaking in tongues for a bit and uttering God’s Word to himself, he left the hospital radiant with faith and joy.

Don’t you just like the fact that, as a Christian, you’re not supposed to worry over anything? It takes the stress out of life. Worrying only makes things worse.

Recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:27 (TPT): “So, which one of you by worrying could add anything to your life?”

Refuse to worry about your school fees. Refuse to worry about your health. Refuse to worry about anything!

Some people believe until they’re worried and flustered, God won’t do anything about their situation.

What they don’t know is that worry actually short-circuits the power of God in one’s life. If worrying had any positive effects, God would have said, “Be worried; in fact, be very worried!”

But He never said that. Rather, He said, “…Forsake your worries! Why would you say, ‘...what will we wear?’ For that is what the unbelievers chase after.

Doesn’t your heavenly Father already know the things your bodies require?” (Matthew 6:31-32 TPT).

Worry is a “...fiery dart of the wicked” (Ephesians 6:16); so, when it attacks you, repel it. Use the Word against it.

Every day, be resolute that you’re going to practise God’s Word. His Word says, “Don’t fret or worry.

Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.

Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down.

It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the centre of your life” (Philippians 4:6-7 MSG). Hallelujah!

🔊Speak:
I repel worry with God’s Word. I’m anxious for nothing, but in everything, I make my requests known to God, and the peace of God that passes all understanding garrisons my heart and mind.
All things are working together for my good; I can never be disadvantaged. Glory to God!

*YOUR TRUE NATURE*

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. *(1 John 4:7)*

Every living creature has its unique nature. For example, it’s in a dog’s nature to bark and walk on all four legs.

It would be strange to see a fish jump out of the water and start barking. The reason is that it’s not the nature of the fish to do that.

In the same manner, in Christ, you have a new nature too.

This nature makes you different from the world, and that’s the nature of love because God is love (1 John 4:16)!

Now, you can love and forgive people easily.

Therefore, let those around you experience the love of God through you today as you share the Gospel, and talk to them about Jesus.
