πŸ“–....Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4).

There’s a misconception of the meaning of the phrase, "Ye are of God" in the verse above. To some, it means “to be on God’s side,” but that’s not correct.

The Apostle John’s construction isn’t in any way ambiguous, so it isn’t about being on anyone's side.

It simply means you hail from Deity. In other words, your origin is in God; you’re His offspring.

It’s akin to what the Bible says in James 1:18: “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.”

To hail from God, therefore, Christ must be in you; you must receive Him to live in you.

Recall the words of the Lord Jesus in John 3:3, “…Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

The concluding phrase of our opening verse gives credence to this; it says, “…greater is He that is in you...;” so, He has to be in you. Think about it: He gave birth to you to live in you!

The Bible says, “...Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27).

You have absolute victory over all forces of darkness and the wicked spirits that orchestrate evil because of the greater One that lives in you.

Read how beautifully the AMPC renders our opening verse: “Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world.” Praise God!

You have overcome the adversary and their nefarious and sinister plans to cause untold hardship, troubles, sorrows, distresses and corrupting influences in the world because you hail from Deity! Hallelujah!

DON’T RUSH YOUR PRAYING
(The Importance Of Praying Without Giving Up)

πŸ“–TO THE BIBLE: Luke 18:1 AMPC“…[Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up).”

LET’S TALK⏩
Someone once said, “I have so much to do in very little time; it leaves me with very little time to pray.

So, in the mornings, I pray for only five minutes because I always have a busy day.” That’s a big mistake.

Never skip or reduce your times of fellowship with the Lord for other things you might consider “important.”

The wisdom, guidance, and strength you need for success come from the Lord. Always remember that.

When you have so much to do, that’s when you need to pray.

In fact, you’ll need to pray more at such times because you require spiritual help to achieve results in a shorter time and in the best way.

Instead of feeling too busy to pray, a wise person will say, “I have so much work to do that I’ll need to give more time to prayer.” You receive a boost in your energy and inspiration, which will give you speed.

Jesus said men ought always to pray and not to give up (Luke 18:1), letting us know that we were made to pray. It’s something God built within the human system.

In other words, there’ll always be the need for that spiritual fellowship with God.

Through such fellowship, we can be built, encouraged, and directed—we also obtain the Lord’s mercy, grace, and intervention in our circumstances.

Not only should you desire to pray, you should pray always. We don’t pray just because we require a miracle; we pray because we’re in a loving relationship with a real, loving heavenly Father.

πŸ”ŠPray:
Dear Father, thank you for the privilege and blessings of prayer.

Thank you for the opportunity to fellowship with you, loving and gracious Father! You’re my source and ability, and I’m confident that my future is secure as I remain yielded to your Spirit and guided by your wisdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

SEATED WITH CHRIST

And raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6)

⊶⊷⊷⊷⊶⊷⊷⊷
Happy Easter Sunday! Today marks the resurrection of the Lord Jesus after His death on the cross.

The Bible tells us that when Jesus resurrected, we were also raised with Him. And now we are seated with Him in power and glory.

To be raised up together with Christ means you’ve been promoted with Christ to the position of power.

The Bible tells us that Jesus is seated at the right hand of God. This is a position of absolute power and authority.

Jesus occupies the position of power and authority where He reigns and rules over all things.

You occupy the same position of power and authority with Jesus to reign and rule in life.

No wonder Romans 5:17 says “…those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ” Hallelujah!
