🌏💦LIVE UNTO HIM  - 🌏💦

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

📖....For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's (Romans 14:8).
═══════════════
In life, many grapple with discontentment, burdened by various concerns and life's challenges.

Often, their dissatisfaction stems from not having learnt the value and fulfilment of living unto Christ.

Living unto Him means finding contentment and fulfilment in what pleases Him, and your displeasure is confined to that which also displeases Him.

In other words, your displeasure can only be a reflection of His displeasure, which means you'll take nothing personally; you become impervious to personal offences.

If you claim to be living unto the Lord, but still harbour hurt, offence, or anger, it raises the question of whether your desire to please the Lord is genuine.

It brings to mind the story in 1 Samuel 8:4-7; the elders of Israel approached the prophet Samuel at Ramah, expressing their desire for a king to rule over them like other nations. Samuel, displeased by their request, prayed to the Lord.

God responded, instructing Samuel to heed the people's voice, clarifying that their request was a rejection of Him as their King rather than a rejection of Samuel.

The prophet Samuel felt personally offended, but God corrected and taught him a great lesson about being impervious to hurts, as it was about Him, not Samuel.

Living for the Lord involves transcending personal feelings and aligning yourself with His divine wilI.

Dear Father, I choose to live unto you and please you at all times,  of love towards others.
I align my desires with your divine will, and my joy and satisfaction come from pleasing you, living for you, and fulfilling my purpose in Christ. Amen.

1 Samuel 8:4-7 Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah,
5 And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.
6 But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD.
7 And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

GOD’S NEW HOME

(Your Heart Is His New Altar)

TO THE BIBLE:
Acts 17:24 CEV
“This God made the world and everything in it. He is Lord of heaven and earth, and he doesn’t live in temples built by human hands.”

LET’S TALK
Many people still love to designate special “altars” where they “meet with God,” whether it’s a particular room in their house or a corner of the living room.

While having moments of privacy with the Lord is essential, creating “special altars” is not a necessity today. We are now His living tabernacles; your heart is His new altar.

In the Old Testament, they built altars for worshipping the Lord, and these altars served as places where they met with God and received divine direction.

For instance, Jacob returned to Bethel, where he first built an altar to the Lord (Genesis 35:3).

Genesis 8:20 tells us about Noah, who “…built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.” However, this was the old order.

Today, where you are is where the altar is, for the altar is in the temple, and you’re the temple of the living God (2 Corinthians 6:16 NIV): “…For we are the temple of the living God.

As God has said: ‘I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.’”

1 Corinthians 3:16 says, “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”

Everywhere you are is the place of His presence. You can pray in your room, speak in tongues in the kitchen, and worship in the Spirit even in the bathroom!

Anyone who comes in contact with you encounters divinity because you are a carrier of God, the home of His presence. Hallelujah!

SPEAK
I’m a God-carrier, the home of His presence; I could never fail or be defeated, because the greater One lives in me.
I impact my world with His divine presence today, and saturate my environment with His glory and righteousness. Blessed be God!

REJOICE AND BE GRATEFUL

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Philippians 4:4

One day, my attention was drawn to one of the psalms of David, while meditating on the awesomeness of the Lord and thanking  Him for all He’s done.

“On that day David first delivered this psalm…to thank the Lord:
Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples!” (1 Chronicles 16:7-8). This is so beautiful!

David was never ashamed or afraid to  express his gratitude to the Lord openly.

Often times, he expressed his gratitude in  songs and in psalms. No wonder he lived such a great life.

Be like David! Think often about all the Lord has done for you, and let joy fill your  heart. Refuse to focus on the negatives.

Rather, keep your eyes on the Lord’s love  and kindness.
